The Cottage Balmain is a place to meet, to eat, to celebrate.

Nestled in a charming heritage building that’s stood in the heart of Balmain since the late 1800s, The Cottage has been a beloved local institution since opening its doors in 2012.

Our leafy courtyard is made for garden parties, family feasts, and long, leisurely lunches. From casual drinks in the sun to date nights by the fireplace, or milestone celebrations with your nearest and dearest—there’s always a reason to gather at The Cottage.

FAQ
  • Outdoor tables are weather dependent.
  • We are taking seated group bookings of up to 30 guests on one of our Group Feasting menus.  Menus can be adjusted prior to the booking date to accommodate dietary requirements.  We do not offer exclusive use of the venue.
  • You are welcome to bring a cake along. Cakeage is charged at $3pp and we provide a cake knife, candles, plates & cutlery.
  • The venue is fully licensed. We do not offer BYO.
  • Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Dogs are welcome in our front courtyard.  Please do not proceed with booking an indoor table if you intend on bringing a furry friend along with you.
